In the middle of the bottle rises a sculpture of a snake. The snake is hand carved and engraved into a solid silver. It has not been cast. It is a sculpture in miniature.
The neck of the bottle holds a perfume dispenser as a cap. The stone at the peak is a natural garnet in the colour of blood.

The death of a flower / 2025
Hand carved antique ivory, 750 yellow gold, 925 silver in the settings of the eyes, cubic zirconium as stones.
The bone skull is hand carved for 14 man hours out of a solid piece of antique ivory by Lauri Löppönen. As an unique miniature sculpture there is no other like it. In the expression of the skull you can see the signature style of the carver and goldsmith Lauri Löppönen’s magically macabre vision that blends beauty, sadness and comicality into one.
Inside the eyes there are cubic zirconium set in 925 silver that darkens over time making the gaze of the skull even more intense through the years.
The flower and the pin is 18 karat yellow gold. For it’s rich yellow colour it is the perfect contrasting match for the pale ivory tone of the skull. As 18 karat gold is also hard it will keep from deforming and staining over time.
The stones are cubic zirconiums. They are lab grown, hard and bright stones.
